Confection by Cuticula

Hello, lovelies! I have some exciting, new things to share with you today. If you read my blog posts regularly or follow me on Instagram then you know how much I love Cuticula’s products. The base and top coats that Amanda makes are amazing and are all I use now. The wear time that I experience when I use her products is astounding. I can routinely get multiple days out of my mani when I use the base and top coat. Not only that but they’re available in many yummy scents.

Cuticula also makes latex nail tape to help protect your cuticles while doing nail art such a stamping, which is what I use it for all the time. It peels wonderfully, they come in fun colors with cute glitters and they also are scented! Amanda has decided to expand her products to include a new line of creams, oils and more called Confection by Cuticula!

This new line (and many other new things) will launch on 9/28 at 10 am PST.

For this new fall release, Cuticula will be releasing new scents for their top and base coats (Silk and Static) called Strawberry Fields, Pearberry and Apple Cider. They will be $8.50 each. Cuticula is also releasing a new ridge filling base coat called Seamless. Seamless will be available in many scents including Pearberry and Apple Cider and for a brief time, will be $5. I can’t wait to try Seamless!

There will also be new scents available in their nail tape. These scents are Blueberry Pumpkin, Caramel Apple Pops (I received this one to review so more info on that will follow), Harvest Moon, Pumpkin Cupcake, Catch Me When It’s Fall and Apple Cider. The nail tapes are $8.25 each.

Caramel Apple Pops is described as having the sweet and salty aroma of salted caramel and sweet, tart green apple candy and is reminiscent of your favorite Halloween caramel apple pops! I can tell you that it smells absolutely delicious and exactly like the candy that I love. The bright green color is perfect and there are even caramel colored glitters in the nail tape! There’s some brighter green glitters in there as well. The nail tape applies so smoothly and dries quickly, which is when you can smell the lovely scent. It did a wonderful job of protecting my cuticles and skin from the layered stamping that I did for this fall design. It also protected my skin from all the acetone I used to clean up after I stamped, which any avid stamper can tell you, is a life saver to your skin and cuticles.

When it came time to remove this nail tape, it removed very easily and in one piece with no small bits of latex left behind. I love using this nail tape and I have several bottles in different scents that I use for all my nail art.

I also used Cuticula’s Static base coat and Timeless top coat in the scent, Fresh Apples to preserve this mani.

Confection Nail Fortifier has a non-greasy, creamy formula that is fortified to help your nails to be strong and healthy. It’s filled with moisturizing ingredients for the ultimate nutrition for your nails. Each jar holds half an ounce and will be $6.50 each. It will be available in the scents, Toasted Marshmallow, Blueberry Pumpkin, Huckleberry (the scent I received to review), Caramel Apple and Pumpkin Cupcake. If your prefer Unscented, that will also be available.

The Huckleberry scent is described as a blend of blueberry with raspberry, grape, strawberry and peach top notes with a sweet background. As soon as I received my jar of Fortifier, I applied some all over my hands like a lotion just to see how it soaked in and so that I could smell it. It smells amazing!! Every scent Amanda makes, has me constantly sniffing my nails like a weirdo and now I can sniff my hands as well! 😂 It absorbed very quickly and left my hands and cuticles feeling incredibly moisturized. As an added bonus, it dries matte! Do you know what that means?? It means that I can swatch a polish, apply a small bit around my fingers and take a picture without looking like I just finished eating an entire bucket of fried chicken! I was ecstatic when I realized this as I’ve been looking for a replacement for the cream I currently use while swatching. I was incredibly impressed with this product and I look forward to buying more jars in the scents that Amanda produces.

I was so pleased to be able to review these wonderful products. The quality of Cuticula’s offerings are what have made me a customer of theirs for life. Will you be picking any of these new smelly goods on the 28th? Let me know in the comments and thank you for reading!

Pahlish Arcana collection

Hello, fellow polish lovers! I have some new Pahlish to share today. Pahlish is my absolute favorite indie maker so everything she makes, I love and this new collection is no exception. The Arcana collection was inspired by Tarot cards and each one is just stunning. I have no prior knowledge of Tarot at all but I did a bit of research after receiving this collection to swatch and it’s very fascinating. These new Pahlishes will be available in her shop on Sunday, 1/14 at 7 pm central time. Shannon is also one of the guest makers in Hella Holo Customs this month and 4 custom polishes will be available for purchase. You do have to be a member of their Facebook group to buy them so go check it out if you don’t want to miss new pretties. Ok, let’s get to the good stuff- swatches!      First up, I have the King of Cups. This polish is a medium taupe with a mix of holo flakes and pigment and bright purple shifting shimmers.
