Tonic Polish Holiday Duo 2017 and Multichrome Madness Customs

Hello, all! Today, I will be sharing my mani pics of the most recent Tonic Polish releases. I have the Holiday Duo 2017 and then seven custom polishes for the Facebook group, Multichrome Madness. Three of the Multichrome Madness polishes are brand new whereas, the other four polishes were rereleased custom polishes from 2016.
                                                          Holiday Duo 2017
First up from the Holiday Duo, I have Becoming, a magnetic multichrome polish. Becoming has a dark blue base and magnetic green to purple multichrome pigment as well as red multichrome flakes. I used 2 coats plus a quick drying top coat for this mani and I kept it on for 2 days! To get the magnetic effect, the magnet should be held over the nail immediately after applying the second coat of polish. I held it there for about 10 seconds. This polish is simply stunning! After using the magnet, it really gave it a galaxy-like appearance and since I'm obsessed with galaxies, it's no wonder that I loved this one a lot.

The second polish from the Holiday duo is Superstar, a berry red base with a blue to red multichrome shimmer with red multichrome flakes. I used 2 coats plus a quick drying top coat for this mani. This polish was fascinating to stare at in different lighting. That red shift- amazing!!

                                              Multichrome Madness Customs
I'll share my pics of the three new Buffy inspired multichromes first. Each polish is named after an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. First, I have Innocence, a blue lilac polish with a  pink to purple multichrome shimmer and scattered holo. This polish is really gorgeous. I used 3 thin coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani.

Next, I have Hush, a shifty multichrome base with some added multichrome shimmer. The base shifts from blue to green to purple and the shimmer shifts from pink to gold to green. I really love the fact that there are so many different color shifts in this polish. It's amazing to look at your nails in different lighting and see them all. I used 3 thin coats for this mani and the formula was perfection. I wore this polish to work and got quite a few compliments on it.

Last, but definitely not least is Zeppo. A gorgeous, deep purple base with fuschia to gold magnetic multichrome with blue iridescent flakes. I used 2 thin coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani.  The formula and opacity for both of the magnetic polishes were amazing and very easy to work with. I really hope to see more magnetic polishes from indies in the future, they're very fun and give the polish a bit more dimension.

Now, I'm going to show you the Golden Girls quad that was released last year through Multichrome Madness. These polishes were so popular, that they decided to bring them back again this year. I was ecstatic to hear that they decided to do this since I missed them the first time around. I have Blanche to share with you first. I was able to purchase this polish through a friend's destash a few months ago and I put it in my Helmer and completely forgot about it until I heard about the re-release. I'm sure I may have mentioned (once or twice or maybe 10 times) that purple is my favorite color so Blanche did not disappoint. This polish is a berry purple base that has a blue multichrome shimmer as well as scattered holo. It's so pretty! I used 3 thin coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani. I believe I wore this polish for 2 full days.

Next, I have Rose, a rose red polish with a copper/orange shimmer and scattered holo that blew me away when I used it. I used 3 thin coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani. I was surprised by how much I loved this polish since colors like this aren't something I would normally gravitate towards but this polish was just too pretty to resist. The orange-y/copper shimmer is splendid.

Sophia is a lovely light blue base with a green to purple shimmer and a scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani. I was taken by surprise by the loveliness of this polish. The shiftiness amazed me! I love blue polish almost as much as I love purples!

Finally, I have Dorothy, a navy base with a purple to green shift that is simply fabulous! I used 2 coats and a quick drying top coat for this mani. This polish is dark but full of depth. I really loved wearing this.

Overall, every single one of the polishes I purchased from Tonic are just amazing. The formula on all of these polishes was wonderful to use. They're all so pretty and interesting that I can never bring myself to stamp over them. Since I'm an avid stamper, this sort of thing doesn't happen too often.
