Essie & Jamberry! A great combo!

Hello, lacquer lovers! It's my favorite time of year... Summer nail polish collections are released! I am absolutely obsessed with neon colors! Especially, purple. Big surprise, right? It being my favorite color and all! Lol
It's been a while since I posted but I got inspired by Essie's new collection so I figured it was time to write up a new post so I could share my love of it with you all! I hope you like it as much as I do!
Here's a pic of the whole collection. So far I've only purchased Sittin' Pretty and I'm Addicted (review to come) but I hope to get Too Taboo and Vices Versa as well. I usually don't like greens but that polish just looks so pretty that I might not be able to resist. When I first saw Serial Shopper I thought it might be a dupe of Tart Deco but after comparing them I saw I was wrong. Tart Deco is much brighter and seems to go on more opaque then Serial Shopper. I also thought that Sittin' Pretty was a dupe of Play Date but again was wrong much to my delight!
So on to my review of Sittin' Pretty!
I was so impressed with this beautiful color! It's not your typical neon but the color is just to die for! I can't stop looking at it! I read a few reviews before I bought it that said there were some formula issues but I went ahead and got it anyways. I'm so glad I did! The formula was good, not too thick or thin. I used three coats of Sittin' Pretty with Gelous as a base coat and on top. Then to give it some shine and prevent chips I used a coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. It's so pretty that I didn't even put my usual coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on!
Now on to the Jamberry nail wraps! I wasn't too familiar with these before but I received a sample from one of the Jamberry consultants, Katherine Landahl and I love them!
Some of the samples I received weren't very wide(but I think I have freakishly wide nails) so I had the idea to use two on one nail and it turned out great! To do this I just trimmed the wrap to the width I wanted and then applied the two wraps seperately. On my middle finger I used Picked Paisley and Orchid Skinny and I loved the way it turned out! Then for my ring finger I used Black and White Chevron, which is my favorite pattern! Since I haven't been able to master it to my liking with just nail polish I was quite happy to try this wrap out. I think it looks so good!
They were very easy to apply and they last quite a while as well. You just need a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive and then you place it on your nail, smooth it down and then file the excess off. They come in great prints and colors. They come in sheets, 18 nail wraps to a sheet of varying sizes so that they can fit your fingernails or toenails. Each wrap could be used on two fingers depending on the length of your nails. I was able to do that since my nails aren't super long. They can last up to 2 weeks on your fingers and 4-6 weeks on your toes. If you're interested in buying any of these beautiful nail wraps or just checking them out, here's the link to Katherine's website: http://katherines.jamberrynails.net/. Please head on over to see what Jamberry is all about.
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer nail polishes as much as I will! Happy polishing, everyone!
