Hello! I have a gorgeous beauty from Quixotic Polish to share with you today. Mary from Quixotic created this for May’s Polish Pickup. Let’s talk about what Polish Pickup is first and then we’ll get into the swatches.
Polish Pickup is an interactive group on Facebook (I will include the link to the group at the end of this post) that allows you to submit theme ideas for each month and vote for your favorite theme. After the theme is picked, you may then select your favorite polishes to purchase from a multitude of different makers. May’s theme is the 1980’s! A great decade!!
The shop opens the first Friday of every month and closes the following Monday. This month, the shop opens on 5/3 at 11 am EST and closes 5/6 at 11:59pm EST. They offer flat rate shipping to the US ($3) and Canada ($5) and orders will usually start shipping about 3 weeks after the shop has closed. It’s an amazing concept and is very popular! Swatch time!!
Garbage CANDY has a bloody vermillion base with chunks of booger green to moldy blue shifting shimmer and slimy iridescent flakes to match. Scary Mary might have farted some holo dust in there as well.
If you couldn’t tell from the wonderful description, Mary was inspired by the popular Garbage Pail Kids cards!
My swatches show 3 thin coats plus a quick drying top coat. The formula was perfect and applied so easily. I love this polish so much, I wore it for 3 days. This polish will be $11.50 and will have no cap.
This green shimmer is soooo pretty! I love it! Don’t miss this one, you’ll regret it!
